July Budget Breakdown

Standard

This month I am very proud of myself! I seemed to get my act together, save more, and spend less. (It helps that I’m at camp from 8-5 every day with no chance to buy lunch or anything else for that matter.)

Here’s the breakdown of my month of spending:

This month was good! I started a Tax Free Savings Account (*more on that later), and contributed $600! Without that, I’m actually under budget (for the first time ever!) by $321.65. I was so happy when I put everything together!

You’ll notice I barely came close to my personal care budgeted amount. I planned to get my hair done, but instead decided to wait and get it done in August instead. I think I was just too busy to really spend a lot, which is not a bad thing at all!!

Let’s hope August is just as good! How was your July?

June was a fairly decent month, spending wise, and I hope that July will be even closer to being completely on track. My budget is fairly similar with a few exceptions.

As you might have noticed, my gas budget is much higher than before. That’s because I’m driving an hour round trip to our camp sites each day, and I still have my 20 minute drive to my weekend job. My personal care budget is huge this month because I plan to get my hair done. I know this is something that I could cut down, but I do love that little pampering session (and fresh highlights make me super happy!).

I don’t plan to do a whole lot other than work this month, so hopefully that keeps me on track 🙂
How is your July looking?
