May Breakdown

First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BANKER!! I didn’t have a call today, so we got to spend the entire day together. We went shopping, went for coffee with his dad, did our groceries, and made dinner for his mom 🙂 It was a wonderful day!

And now, I give you my budget…not great, but I am improving and I am happy about it.

If you take out the extra debt I paid off (including paying my credit card off in entirety), I only went over budget by $74.51. Again, not great, but considering we went on vacation and I took a trip to Ikea which is about a 45 minute drive and a trip home for my dad’s birthday (an hour and 45 minute drive), I think I did pretty well.

For the upcoming month, I’m planning to pay more debt down and hopefully be closer to my target. It will be a big month in the gift department, so I’ll have to curb my spending somewhere else.

How did you do in the month of May?

Congrats!! Thanks for reminding me about The Banker’s bday! Our May budget recap is royally messed up and right now it looks like we’re majorly in the hole. Fortunately, I get paid for the first time in over a month on Friday!
